The company’s annual net sales amount to eight billion U.S. dollars, whereof over 90 percent were generated in the United States. Nearly 32 percent of Smucker’s sales could be attributed to Walmart. The company breaks down its business into four segments: U.S. Retail Consumer Foods, U.S. Retail Coffee, U.S. Retail Pet Foods, and International and Foodservice. According to the latest annual report, coffee generated the lion’s share of Smucker’s sales, followed by dog food, and pet snacks. Within the retail coffee sales segment, approximately 15 percent are generated from premium coffee. The company’s well-known family of brands includes Smucker’s, Folgers, Dunkin’ Donuts, Jif, Crisco, Pillsbury, Eagle Brand, R.W. Knudsen Family, Hungry Jack, Café Bustelo, Café Pilon, White Lily, and Martha White in the United States. As well as Canadian brands Robin Hood, Five Roses, Carnation, and Bick’s.Expanding into the pet food market
In March 2015, the company stepped into the pet food business with the acquisition of the Big Heart brands. Smucker's is now present on the pet food market with brands such as Milk-Bone, Pup-Peroni, and Milo’s Kitchen. In 2018, Smucker also acquired more brands with the addition of Ainsworth pet nutrition. The contribution of pet food sales to the company’s net sales is over by now over 37 percent of total sales.
